This is my post commemorating 9/11/01

Right now, exactly 2 years ago, the American Airlines flight 11 hit the North tower of the World Trade Center. I was in Geography class at my college with half an hour left in the class. We got out of class and I went to History class, which happened to be right across the hall. Once in class, I heard some rumors of stuff, but I thought, "This is just some bull. People are pulling my leg here." We had people in the class a bit confused and shaken, but we had a normal class. About halfway through the class (about 10:15 to 10:30), a security guard came into the classroom and said that they were evacuating the college. I was thinking, "What the heck is going on?" I went down to my counsellor's office to see what we were going to do about the meeting that was planned. Everyone was either packing up or had already packed up their stuff and was glued to the TV. We straightened out the meeting and I went to the TV, trying to squeeze in, just to see the North tower collapse. I was thinking, "Dear LORD! PLEASE let everyone You can save be saved!" I had trouble getting home after that, because the buses were out and cell phones were jammed in the confusion. My dad picked me up about 11:30 and I went home and stayed glued to the TV all day, simply in shock. It took me about an entire day to do simple recovery from it.

(This post is timed to the first hit on the North Tower.)
