Funeral was today

We were surprised at the number of people who showed up. The church was almost filled. I read the 23rd Psalm, my grandpa's favorite, at the service. I also sort of helped all the little kids stay out of trouble. (4 younger cousins, 3 young children of my mom's friend, my former 5th grade teacher). One of my cousins wanted to play "Hide And Seek" in the funeral home and I had to discourage that idea. It was a good service. Everyone who came to the luncheon at Golden Corral had a good time as well. We loved Jim in life and he loved everyone. Now his time came and we remember the good times. We also remember that we'll see him soon enough. We're doing well enough to be expected.

Psalm 23

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters; He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou annointest my head with oil, my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the House of the Lord forever.
