Inspired by 
erbkaiser, I've rearanged my layout. I'll probably still be futzing with the colors for a few days, but I've got just about everything else the way I want it.
Edit: There is one drawback to this style: the entire page must load before you can see anything. Generator would load individual posts one at a time.
